The exploratory stage is internally assessed and is a pass or fail. This stage of the course is very much about you experimenting and embracing new and creative challenges.  

The pathway stage is externally  and internally assessed and is pass or fail. This is the part where you develope a portfolio for university application and create a project that links to what your higher education goals. This is where you organise your university applications and portfolio. 

The confirmatory stage this is externally and internally assessed and where you achieve either a pass, merit or distinction. You diverse yourself a challenging porject that has strong links to your life after the foundation. You will have to write a 800 word statement of intent that clearly outlines your goals and process.
