EXPLORATORY STAGE
FOR THIS STAGE YOU WILL COMPLETE A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS, THAT EXPOSURE YOU TO RANGE OF MEDIUMS AND PROCESSES. YOU WILL TACKLES THESE WORKSHOPS FROM THE ANGLE OF YOUR STARTING POINT. YOU WILL THEN PRODUCE A BODY OF WORK INCLUDING, RESEARCH, EXPERIMENTS, DEVELOPEMENT AND FINAL PIECE BASED AROUND YOUR STARTING POINT.

STAGE1
Design/ Draw
You will spend this session experimenting with your drawing skills and start to compel ideas for your character mask. This will be done by creating designs and drawings from a range of stimuli.

STAGE2
Pattern Marking
You will explore different ways of creating patterns and use this to decorate the surface of your mask. We will be exploring printing, marberling, poly print, bubble printing, potato printing, paper cutting, water colour resist, drawing machines, etc. You will explore different ways of creating marks.

STAGE3
3D
Stage three: 3D making
You will use cardboard and paper maiche to start to form you mask, remember you need to build it to fit a head inside. Use your pattern marking to decorate the outside.

STAGE4
Shoot
Think about the character of your mask and how you would embed that charcter in a costume and a loction. Research fashion shoots and carefully consider your style and what you wanna to achieve. Take images and film different clips.

STAGE5
Graphic Design
Now use your images to apply them back into a graphic design form this could be- film stills, a small book, music video, fashion article etc.
