  2. the opposite side of a personality Clark Kent and his alter ego Superman :  counterpart

  3. a fictional character that is the author's alter ego

For a final Piece you will produce a digital college that shows your altego- look at the examples in the gallery.

For your course you will produce a body of images that show yours or someone else alter ego. First we must discover who you are......

Step 1

Mind Map

Alter ego

Brainstorm Alterego/

Identity

  • Think about who you are whatmakes your personality

  • Describe who you are as a person- hobbies, interests, age, favourite colours, foods, family, etc. This is how we find your secret powers.

  • Add on to your hobbies anything that could be made into your magic powers/alter ego. For example-

  • Are you food boy? who can smell out any food from 5 miles away?

  • Who is your hero? If you could have super powers what would they be?

  • Look on my pinterest board for any initial ideas and add artist to your mind map.

LO:

To complete stage 1 of your coursework preparations by researching, analysing and responding to various Artists that link to your starting point.

Due Date: 15th May

Personality

Portraits

LO-

To create  6/7 different portraits that show different parts of your personality

Use the words collected for homework to create portraits. Look through my pinterest board and link an artists work to one of your personality types, research the artist and then create your own.

Research

How do I smash this?

3-      A portrait that has some resemblance to the artists work

4-      A portrait that has resemblance to the artists work and there is evidence of refinement

5/6-    A confident portrait that links well to the artists work and has been refined to a good standard

7/8-     A bold and personal portrait that confidently references the artists work and is refined to a high standard.

9+- A bold and personal portrait that confidently references the artists work and is refined to a high standard and has the student has put their own 'twist' on it.

LO-

  • Create one personality portrait each lesson

SC-

  • Create an image that reflects your awesome personality and has been refined like the artists work.

Who is my Alter ego?

Now is the Fun Part! Look through your personality portraits and pick the tops ones that you feel

A) worked the best and were the most successful

B) Show you and personality off the best

C) Was a technique you enjoyed the most and would like to do explore further.

Example

I used the pixelated style from Barbara Baldi

Then I used the glitch style on top of the face.

I start to develop mine to be more like the poster, I then decided this reminds me of a music poster and an album cover so now I want to develop it in that direction.

really like this Magdiel Lopez poster and want to develop this into my work. I especially like the fades in the background and the sic-fi space age theme of it. The female in the middle looks powerful and alien like.

I took the writing and lyrics idea from this image on my pinterest board.

How can I develop this??

Solid outcome

Think carefully about how your work could be used and where you would see it.
