For this project you will create your own brand, come up with a name and logo, create t-shirt designs, make the t-shirts, and then shoot the T-shirts to create market images for your brand.
STEP 1
LO- TO CREATE YOUR OWN BRAND WITH A NAME, TAGLINE AND IDENTITY.
COME UP WITH A NAME FOR YOUR BRAND AND TAGLINE, CREATE A MIND MAP OF NAME IDEAS IN YOUR SKETCHBOOK.IT COULD BE A PLAY ON YOUR NAME OR A WORD YOU LIKE OR YOUR PETS OR FMAILY NAME.
PICK A FEW WORDS THAT DEFINE YOUR BUSINESS CONCEPT IS IT AN OUTDOOR MAKE? FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE A CERTAIN GENRE OF MUSIC? DOES IT HAVE A VINTAGE FEEL? IS IT FOR SURFERS AND SKATERS? DOES IT LINK TO A COURSE CLOSE TO YOUR HEART LIKE MENTAL HEALTH OR THE ENVIRONMENT?
BRAINSTROM SOME WORDS THAT DESCRIBE THIS.

Once you have a few good words put them into a business name generator to come up with different brand names.

STEP 2
Lo-Create a logo with your brand name.
Log in to pinterest to get some logo ideas create a board and pin ideas, have a look at my board for ideas. Put6/8 different logos you like into your iBook.
Now you have your brand name and ethos of your brand you need to design a logo that visually showcases what your brand is about. If you fancy you can design your logo in either photoshop or illustrator. use the once you have researched for inspiration. Steal bits of design from there work.
Or you could use the Wix logo maker to create your logo.
Create 4/5 different designs and show the person next to you so you can decide which one is best.
STEP 3
LO- create ideas and designs for your t-shirts.
Now you need to research T-shirt ideas. Use Pinterest to create a T-shirt board and pin ideas to it. Here is a link to my board. Use your research to create your own designs.
Step 4
LO- design your work T-shirts.
Use your research to create your designs, you made need to get some landscape pictures or portraits or objects. Use these pictures to create a design. Then edit the design in different ways. Use the workshop page to help you edit the images.
Edit it using one of the workshops or tshirt design ideas you have chosen.

LO- to place your designs on to Tshirts.

Step 6
LO-
Create your T-shirt.
You will need to bring in a plain white T-shirt.We will print off your design onto heat transfer paper and get your design onto a t-shirt.
Step 7
LO- Create a mood board to plan your photo shoot.
Go on to Pinterest and pin some ideas for your shoot with your t-shirt you will need to have visual ideas for poses, location, props, lighting etc. use this list to help you plan.
You can do

or by hand but you
use take it with
you when you
shoot your tshirt.

You are going to create 9 social media images to use on your tshirt businesses instagram page, You most display them as a grid, have a link between them so they sit nicely together and it most be creative.
Firstly research other instagram accounts you like and then start creating creating your own.
Fashion Shoot
Now you have your t shirts you need to do a some fashions shoot to use for adverts for your tops. You will need to do some prior research for this and plan your shoots using the shoot planning sheet.
Look on my 'present' pinterest board ideas and then create a visual mood board, then grab your t-shirt, model and go shoot!
Flat lays!
Create your own flat lay with your T shirt and some other items that link to the theme of your business. Think carefully about the background and how the items are arranged.
