SHUTTER SPEEDS 

This term we are going to experiment with shutter speeds. Lots of artists use a slow/long shutter speed to capture movement within an image. you will need to change the shutter speed using the wheel on top of the camera.You will need to use a tripod when taking these images as your hand shake will effect the image.

Activity 1- research 

Create a research page on photography that uses long shutter speeds. write how they do it, why they do it and your own opinion on the images. use my pinterest board to get images and ideas.

activity 2- exeperiment

in groups using the studio take 'shakey' portraits in the style of billy kidd of eachother. experiment with different shutter speeds, make sure the camera is on the tripod. Present these in your sketchbooks.  express how you are feeling about your day in this image. 

Activity 3- edit 

Edit your images in photoshop to enhance the emotion. Try making the images black and white or altering the contrast, levels, vibrancy and hue/saturation. present your best edits in your sketchbook.  

 

activity 4- experiment/research

researc h photographers that use that look at the whole body within their images for example- Alesja Popova or William wadman. 

 

Then take more pictures in the studio but this time focus on including the whole body rather than just the face. Try dancing, jumping, only moving your arms or legs so the rest is in focus, try using material or props- remember to becareful with the backdrop so control your movement. present these in your sketchbook with some research on sugguested photographers.

research light drawings and how they are made. picasso and Michael Bosanko are good artists to look at. present this in your sketchbook with your own opinion on the work. start planning what you would draw for your own images. could you draw your alter-ego?  favourite logo? wings? super powers?  Try this link for more ideas-Note worthy light drawings.

CREATE A DESIGN USING EITHER YOUR BEST LIGHT DRAWING IMAGES OR SHAKEY FACE PICTURE. YOU NEED TO PICK A WORD TO ADD TO THE DESIGN OR YOUR NAME. DO 4/5 EXPERIMENTS OF DIFFERENT DESIGNS. USE THE EXAMPLES FOR INSPIRATION. THIS COULD BE YOUR BAND OR BRAND LOGO.

Activity 11. 

Play around with the brush tools to create different effects. You can download your own brush tools from busheezy.

1.DOWNLOAD A BRUSH, DRAG IT FROM THE DOWNLOAD FOLDER TO THE DESKTOP.

2.THEN GO TO PHOTOSHOP AND SELECTED THE BRUSH TOOL
