Your exam is worth 40% of your final A2 Grade.

 

Your final exam takes place on.

 

ON YOUR EXAM DAYS

Arrive from 8.30am in Unit 20 for an 8.50 start. Tutor will be used for your exam. Break and Lunch will be as normal but you are able to stay and have lunch in unit 20.

 

BRING YOUR SKETCHBOOK and any materials you might need extra to what we have.

MAKE SURE YOU BRING THE PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO THAT YOU WILL BE USING DURING THE EXAM.

Step 1

  • Mind Map from chosen word, this should be thorough and have 12 keys words and then other words related to this, add images. This will be so helpful for you to refer to when you are stuck for ideas. So the more thorough the better for you in the long term.

Step 2

  • Research artist that link to your starting point- create a board on Pinterest with plenty of ideas, artists and techniques. 

Step 3

  • Now research and respond to 4 artists or techniques you have found.

  • Complete a detailed research page on the artists or techniques, make you sure you understand not only how the artist produce the work but WHY they do. 

  • Do a shoot and edits for each artists and remember: the closer your edits work like the artist the better!!

  • REFINE your work so its looks like the artist as much as possible , this needs to be considered with not only the photoshoot but how you edit the images. 

Step 4

  • Experiment with your edits by developing them into design ideas, try presenting them in different manners, use these Pinterest boards for inspiration.

  • Now start developing final design ideas, look at the previous Pinterest boards for inspiration. 

  • Don't be happy with one design idea, try 10-12 different presentation ideas. Change fonts styles, colours, boarders, layouts etc, document these changes in your sketchbook.
