LO: 

To complete stage 1 of your exam preparations by researching, analysing and responding to various Artists that link to your starting point

Mind Map your starting point:

  • Get a dictionary definition

  • Go to the online thesaurus to find alternative words

  • Use the template below

  • Use images to show your ideas

Step 3 

RESEARCH: Find and research your first 2-4 artists.​​

  • Minimum of 2-4 beautifully presented pages in your sketchbooks with detailed description and analysis of their work.

RESPOND: Execute your first 2 photoshoots in response to your chosen artists

​​

  • Each photo shoot should be 30 - 60 images (not 1 or 2 or 3!)

  • Present all photos from your shoots then 4-6 of your best images larger.

Step 4

Further experiments....................

  • Put 2 or more images together on photoshop and experiment with multiple exposure.

  • Paint and illustrate on top of the image

  • Use the sewing machine to stitch on top

  • Use text, collage and colour to alter the image.

  • Scan some of your images and move them or place objects over them to create new imagery.

  • Fragment your images by hand or in photoshop.

  • Create your own geometric shapes on Geometee to add to your images, or to distort them.

  • Use Mirroring and repetition within your images to create graphic, digital designs.

LO: To complete stage 3 of your exam preparations by revisiting your mind map and adding new ideas. Reflect on what you have done so far and develop/improve on one workshop, re-shoot & experiment further.

  • Look back at your mind map and add ideas/images.

  • Choose one artist/technique to develop further. This should be the strongest work you have in your sketchbook.

  • Research an artist who explores a similar theme in their work and respond (photos, experiments, annotation
